“A warlock summoned the Angel Raziel, who mixed some of his own blood with the blood of men in a cup, and gave it to those men to drink. Those who drank the Angel’s blood became Shadowhunters, as did their children and their children’s children.”
TMI Appreciation Week | Day 4: favorite quote » City of Heavenly Fire Epilogue
“You make me question myself. All the time, every day. I was brought up to believe I had to be perfect. A perfect warrior, a perfect son. I didn’t think love came with forgiveness. And then you came along, and you broke everything I believed into pieces, and I started to see everything differently. You had—so much love, and so much forgiveness, and so much faith. So I started to think that maybe I was worth that faith. That I didn’t have to be perfect; I had to try, and that was good enough. […] You’ve changed me for the better.”

“Simon,” she whispered, and then, “Do—you know me? Do you know who I am?” […]
He looked down at her. There was uncertainty and hope in his expression, and a slightly dazed look, as if he’d just woken up from a dream and wasn’t entirely sure where he was. Then he smiled. “I don’t remember everything,” he said. “Not yet. But I remember you.” He brought her hand up, touched the gold ring on her right index finger, the Fair Folk metal warm to the touch. “Clary,” he said. “You’re Clary. You’re my best friend.”
“You are odd creatures. All fragile nobility and humanity on one side, and all the thoughtless fire of angels on the other.”
We’re called Shadowhunters. At least, that’s what we call ourselves. The Downworlders have less complimentary names for us.
CEDRIC DIGGORY AU
Cedric Diggory wins the notorious Triwizard Tournament, but saw one of his new friends die right before his eyes during the Tournament. He still struggles with the thought of it. After his win, he becomes famous, and not for his magic skills. His story intrigues people, even more because he doesn’t want to open up about it. He only finds peace in the woods, thinking about a girl. No one knows who it is. His character changes from a friendly, jolly boy to a closed, scarred man.
After 20 years the famous Cedric Diggory finally agrees to tell his story to the Daily Prophet, so no one will bother him about it anymore. At least, that’s what he thought.
